Each day a Wikipedia article becomes a short listen. The scripts are written by language models and read by synthetic voices. Using the site means these terms are fine by you.

A machine wrote it, so treat an episode as a jaunt rather than a reference. Every episode names the article it came from — follow that link for the real thing, and don’t rely on a listen for anything that matters.

Sign-in links are as good as a password, so keep yours to yourself. An account that’s used to harass people or to hammer the service can be closed.

Directing an episode spends a credit. Credits are bought through Stripe, have no cash value, and don’t transfer between accounts. If something breaks and a credit disappears with it, email bradleyfaskowitz@icloud.com and it’ll be put back.

• You pick the Wikipedia page. Pick one about a subject, not one aimed at a person you know.
• An episode you direct stays yours and stays private until you add it to the library. Once it’s in the library, anyone can play it.
• Don’t script bulk requests against the site. If you want volume, ask.

Article text comes from Wikipedia and is used under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike. Each episode credits its article out loud and links it on the page. The audio and the cover art are made for WikiJaunt.

This is a side project, offered as-is. It can break, lose data, change shape, or stop. Nothing here promises it will keep running, and the liability for using it is limited to what you’ve paid.
