WikiJaunt is a small project run by one person. It keeps the least it can: an email address so you can sign in, and counts of what gets played so it’s clear whether any of this is worth making. Nothing here is sold, and there are no ad networks.

• Your email address, if you ask for a sign-in link. It’s stored with your account and used to send that link.
• Your name, email address, and profile picture, if you sign in with Google. That’s the whole request — no Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or contacts. Only the email address is stored.
• The Wikipedia page and voices you pick when you direct an episode, along with the script and audio that come out of it.
• Your email address and whether you confirmed it, if you subscribe to the daily email.

Plays, pauses, completions, skips, ratings, and page views are counted in PostHog, along with the IP address that arrived with the request. Session recording is turned off, so there’s no replay of your screen. If you’re signed in, those events carry your account id so the same person isn’t counted twice.

• Supabase — accounts, the database, and the audio and cover files.
• Vercel — hosting and serving the site.
• PostHog — the play and listen counts described above.
• Resend — sign-in links and the daily email.
• Stripe — payment, if you buy credits. Card details go to Stripe and never reach WikiJaunt.
• OpenRouter and ElevenLabs — writing and voicing episodes. They receive Wikipedia text and the page you picked, not your account details.

Account data stays while the account does. Email bradleyfaskowitz@icloud.com to have your account and its episodes deleted, and it’ll be done by hand. Every daily email has an unsubscribe link that works without signing in.

Signing in sets a session cookie, which is what keeps you signed in. PostHog sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart. There are no advertising cookies.
